It's not the time in the game it's the multitasking that makes these Sims take forever doing anything. I noticed when I tried it that they multitask for everything. This seems to overrule the players next queued up action. In games past, when you commanded a Sim to take care of the need, and if it was a desperate need it would go ahead and stack in the queue and normally if very pressing, would cancel out their watching TV while socializing/while sitting. Just as an example I'm going to use that situation from TS2. Yes, Sims socialized while sitting and watching TV or standing watching TV. Alright, now you have to manually cancel the watching TV, plus manually cancel the talking while watching and manually cancel the 'sitting' while watching before your next command will slide down the queue so the Sim will get up and go pee or eat or whatever. I know for myself because some Sims needs were very pressing I found this very bothersome. Multitasking is the culprit, and sometimes they take the long way around when it was shorter as the crow flies. Example, in the big park my Sim needed to use the bathroom and was far away from the bathrooms, but instead of just cutting across which would have been a very fast, short walk he started to go all the way around the path of that huge park. I had to cancel that and make him cross right across from the bathroom so he wouldn't wet himself. I found that very annoying. As much as the player who said the Sims are back to using the sink upstairs instead of the one next to them in the kitchen. Yeah, old complaints from when a patch to improve routing in TS2 actually made them go a long distance when not necessary. Same old mistakes. Also, while he was at this park, he went there afternoon, by the time he sat and played about two minutes of chess, got bored, talked to one kid to increase social since he was bored, and that's what the moodlet called for, then he needed to eat, and a homeless person fixed burgers way back in a little section where no one goes,.....he decided to walk that three miles, lol, then ate, and then the long, long route on the path to the bathrooms instead of cutting across, it was way after midnight for him. That was hugely frustrating since I didn't micro manage him that time and yeah, it was hours just to get through the few commands he needed to take care of, so he could get home.
